  1. I agree with the last paragraph, in the sense that we need more people to think and act in a long-term fashion rather than based on emotions. Emotions last for a few days or a couple of weeks, it is with moderation that one can act-think long term.

I do not think there is no reason to feel guilty about being happy. It is not just a cliche that happy and calm people make better judgment calls, and panic less under stressful situations. I suspect that our culture for some reason values sadness ...

  3. Thanks for your comments...one more thing though, I do agree that a fundamental progress [I prefer not to use "change"] takes time, mentally and culturally growing is a a time consuming process, but I believe one of our problems is that we don't listen to oppositions, to the ideas that are against our belief, I believe that if we learn to listen - without being defensive - and think what has caused that idea to exist, instead of just arguing, we may end up in a better position...

  4. You just came out of Iran. If you stay out of Iran for a while I will see you in the same situation. People here are trying to keep themself alive, make soem money to pass a day or week or month. Some people has been nere for ever like they came here before revolution and I don`t expect them to do anything. people that came here after revolution are somehow related to one of the opposition groups and they don`t thikn like the people in Iran. some just came out like you and they don`t nkow what is going on and complain about others. Don`t expect everybody to be like you or the the people inside Iran. Think, some of them still missing their country but some don`t care that much. Lets what is going to happend to you after 10 years.

  5. I'm afraid I totally disagree with you...people outside Iran are not starving or dying, people are not restricted here, humaan rights are obsereved here, every one has a voice and it'll be heard... [and I'm more concerend abt educated people ] I'm only concerend abt people not thinking anymore...I'm not depicting my country as a disasterous hopeless one...I'm not offending people there or here...what I'm trying to say is that we, as human bodies, even if we don't consider ourselves as Iranians any more, should do as much as we can to raise the humanity, freedom, democracy...and why not to start with our own country?
look, we are living in countries which let us speak out, we are not treathened or anything...I don't mean that outside Iran, is not any chance of being politically abused, which I beleive if we keep thinking and growing, we can avoid that...the point I'm trying to make is that we should develope our minds, we should think and see and try to make a difference...

  6. I agree with you on "hearing from opposition" and "thinking about why they oppose us" ...

I do not think there is much point in judging people anyway, I believe in a simple quote that says:
Love people no ideas, Judge ideas and not people :)
